PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To source local suppliers that can supply PEP NIGERIA with specific products as requested by the Buying Executive.

SOURCING EXECUTIVE
LOCATION: LAGOS

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Source, investigate and recommend suitable suppliers registered with NAFDAC and or SON,
Where possible source multiple suppliers for a specific product with sufficient detail to allow the Buying Executive to make an informed decision on the selection of the new supplier
Minimize risk in supply base through continuous monitoring and management of suppliers signed off by the Buying Executive
Establish and maintain good relationships with suppliers by ensuring he/she receives information on time
Provide monthly status reports on delivered orders
Proactively liaise with buyers on progress
Supply accurate information on cost prices with detailed images of the products
Informal competitive shopping will be done once a month
Information of orders to be supplied by the respective buyers via excel spreadsheet and will contain all relevant information
Provide all the necessary information to the Distribution Centre Supervisors to prepare the local procured orders before distribution to stores

JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS
Relevant Degree, Purchasing and Supply and related fields
Computer Literacy (MS Office)
Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience as a fully qualified and experienced buyer within a retail trade environment will be an advantage
Competencies required: Good communicator (oral & written); Confident; Business Acumen; Negotiation and influencing; Planning, organizing and control; Stress Tolerance; Building and maintaining relationships and able to function independently
Willingness to travel
